Best Laid Plans...

We are in the home stretch of winter, but the very start of Lent...I don't know about you guys, but this time of year is hard.  It feels like the wheel keeps spinning and I am not sure when it will stop.  I definitely need to keep myself looking forward.



When I started Farmer Boy I had great BIG plans of journaling,  illustrated narrations and all sorts of other Charlotte Mason things.  And then we ended up JUST READING....



And more importantly, enjoying the book together.  There is some really great stuff ...and then, dare I say, some stuff I skimmed over (shoe making..).



I look forward to hearing what you all think.  I can't wait to hear what the kids remember and their favorite parts.

I love that Eliza Jane was away at school for one week and she came home knowing more than her parents..in one week.  I chuckled at that.  Kids have always been...kids!



We are almost done.  In the next week I hope to nail down some specific plans for our book club.  In the meantime, keep reading!
